Rare pair of 19thc. Staffordshire of Uncle Tom & Aunt Cloe. Thomas Parr Pottery circa 1845-50

Aunt Cloe was Tom's wife in Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel Uncle Tom's Cabin. Published in 1852 it addressed slavery in the U.S.A., its attitude towards African Americans,l upon which it had an effect in the abolition of slavery.
